19th Century. New England origin. Fabulous large pictorial hooked rug with birds, vines, and centered blue basket filled with flowers. Made from polychromed scraps of cotton fabrics hooked on burlap. Very little fading but does have areas of looses. Rug is reinforced by being all hand sewn on a large piece of antique wool fabric. Hangs beautifully. Measures 81” long by 38” wide.

19th Century. New England origin. Nice early small geometric Hooked Rug with Hearts in earthy colors of poppy red, white, sage green and black. Hooked on burlap. One small old corner repair. Measures 23” long by 18” wide.

Early 19th Century. New England origin. Wonderful browns and blues stitchings on fine beige linen homespun background. With stitched rows of alphabets, numbers and a house in addition to other simple motifs. Signed “Polly Orn Nichols”. In period wooden frame. Ex Sharon Platt. In very good condition. In the best original red, black, and robins egg blue dry painted nicely craquelure surface. Measures 18 3/4” by 14 3/4” open, 14 3/4” by 9 3/8” by 2 7/8” folded closed.

19th Century. Vermont or New Hampshire origin. Unique form splint Cake Basket with swing lid. Nice nutty patina on the outside and a as it should be lighter patina inside.
