A 19th C. British rolling pin, paint decorated with ship, flags and inscription 'Home with a full Press of Sail'. Hand-Blown Glass Rolling Pins were a Popular Gift Item, often given by Sailors to their Wives or Girlfriends. There were often Hollow and could be Filled with Cold Water to help keep Pastry Dough Chilled, Sealed with a Cork Stopper. Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock Decorated with a Cobalt “Plump” Bird on a Branch Stamped "HW BROUGHTON & Co / FAIR-HAVEN / Conn." A Rare Maker, H.W. Broughton & Co. was a Manufacturer of Stoneware, Specifically Known for Producing 2-Gallon Crocks with Cobalt Bird Decorations around 1870 in Fair Haven, Connecticut. Folk Art Bird Tree. Natural Branch with 9 Whimsically Carved Birds, in Original Paint. American, Circa 1900. Height: 34" Birds: Range Length 4"-5" Each. Condition: Excellent Original Condition. A Folk Art Bird Tree is a single branch of wood or other material held up by a base with birds attached to its branches. Bird trees were carved by the Pennsylvania Germans to symbolize the entrance of spring with its emphasis on rebirth. The trees were filled with colorful birds such as those used in "Frakturs” The birds were usually colorful and attached to bent branches. The number of branches and birds varied with each creation. The position of the birds also varied with each piece.

Rare Cast Iron “Cauldron Form” Pot in Exceptional Condition, having its Original Top Cover. This Early Casting Dates from the Mid 18th Century to the very Early 19th Century. The Wire Bail Handle is Hooked to the Pot through “Ear” Handles. The Pot is in Excellent Condition, and Surface Conditions Indicate that it could have been used as a Sauce or Stew Pot for Cooking, Keeping or Warming on the Hearth. A Delightful 19th Century Colorful Oil on Canvas Group Portrait Depicting Four Children by a Stream Intently Watching, as One Child is Either Fishing or Reaching for Something in the Stream with a Stick. Image Size: 19”X21”, With Frame 25” X 28”. Very Good Age-Related Condition. Frame is a Later Addition.
This oil painting on canvas showcases a serene country homestead scene complete with a charming house, having a Mansard roof, a peaceful stream and a picturesque waterfall underneath a beautiful stone bridge. The captivating artwork features a horseback rider, a mother with a parasol, a daughter gathering flowers, and a faithful dog, all set against a backdrop of figures, a river, and majestic mountains. Housed in its original gilt gesso frame dating back to 1887, this artwork remains in excellent condition, with only minor wear to the frame. The stretcher measures 16" x 20" and the overall frame size is 25-1/4" x 21". Notable is the presence of a Weber & Co. Philadelphia label on the stretcher, linking back to a historical American manufacturer of artists' supplies. "F. Weber & Company, Inc. was an American manufacturer and supplier of artists' materials and may have been involved with frame making in the late 19th century, with a main office in Philadelphia. The actual company was started in 1857 under another name and in 1887 ownership was changed to Frederick Weber and the company named was changed to F. Weber & Co.
