I have been selling antiques for the past 30 years. I have lived in various parts of the country,Maryland,Chicago, Ohio, Virginia and Philadelphia,where my interest and love grew for Americana. I offer 18th and 19th objects with good design textiles, folk art , decorative arts, sewing items and some jewelry. I often look for pieces that are unique and different. Antique knife box in dry blue paint. Darker blue on outside & a faded blue on interior. 17”x11”. 5” tall from base to top of handle.

Carved wood bird
Carved wood bird mounted on decorative wooden post. Wire legs & nice paint detail . Bird is 7” long including tail. Dates to about 1940. There is a small hook to hang him.

Beaded pincushion from Niagara Falls. Souvenir piece with Iroquois beadwork. Two sided opens with ribbon closure. Beadwork & velvet in perfect condition. 3” x 21/2”.

Ink drawing
Ink drawing of bird in original wood frame with gilt & little brass tacks in corners. Possibly a lovebird drawing with woman’s name at top & man’s name at bottom. Bird has nice detailing Top reads Miss Mary Zimmerman. Bottom is much Harder to read . I would say Mr. James ? and it is somewhere, Ohio. It is done on lined paper Image is6”x3” and frame is 10”x8”

Pa. Fracter
Wonderful baptismal Pa. German Fracture. Sunburst design in center surrounded by 8 circles with related sayings in each circle. There are 2 watercolor floral designs at the bottom, Dated May 4 1835 in what appears to be original framing.. 9 1/2 x 8 1/4. There was a folded paper tucked in back with original translations of each saying in the circles which I have included in the photo.
