This 18th century Rush Light with Candle Socket / Counterweight, Tabletop, Tripod Base, Spade Feet is by an unknown maker. It measures 11 inches tall and is 4 inches wide. It has allover pitting, good color, and functioning jaws. ( I believe that the "make-do" candle holder is really the counterweight and it has been used as a light by fastening ( melting wax and using this as the" glue" ) to hold the candle in place.
