Measures 13 3/4" L, 10 1/4" W, and 5" H.Thought to be the prototype for the later Shaker oval pantry boxes. The sides are maple and the lid and base are old growth pine with the narrow grain.Info can be found on these boxes, https://shakerml.wordpress.com/tag/oval-boxes/ Some of the highlights include 1)more rounded shape than elliptical: 2)narrow swallowtails are inserted in small slots rather then just being tacked down 3)the upper finger is tacked or tucked under the rim 4) copper tacks are only used on the fingers and the rest of the box is wooden pegged.5)Pine used is old growth found on the Shaker sites, with a very thin grain spacing. There is a length wise crack in the lid and in the base.No repairs or old paint and varnish were found on this. The box is approx 220 years old and still opens and closes easily .The Shakers did not sign their items,as this was part of their belief in humility.Own a rare piece of history.

Measures 4" high.Mint condition.Comes with it original pin, tied to the white string.1930-1950.The basket could have come from the Mohawk Nation, which covered 6 other nations, like the Oneida and were located in the New York,Quebec, and Ontario areas or from the Passmaquoddy Nation in Maine.Strawberries were harvested in late Spring and were used for food and medicines, and were honored for these reasons.Native American baskets have become more available and are a great, affordable antique to collect.

Measures 12" long, 10" high.Black and white fleece for fur that has worn in patches on one side and on it's tummy to reveal a German newspaper.Lost his back wheels and has his left eye replaced.Charming pull toy withs it original string.Came out of a friend's mom estate auction in suburban Detroit, Michigan. She said the toy was always placed high up on a cuboard,so that she and her brothers could not play with it.It has softly mellowed in color. Also,it is a bit larger than some of the other German dog pull toys.Clean,no odors.
The hood measures 8 1/2" long.Comes with it original store box,Bradners of Olean,Penna. The bonnett is small, probably a child's size. The sizes ranged from 1 to 10,with the small sizes fitted to a doll. This one has its original brown velvet ribbons and his in great original condition. As common with these thin straw bonnetts, splits in the straw occurred. As noted the final picture, the 2 splits were repaired with white archival cloth tape. The tape is only visible when the hat is placed upon its back. One could sew a lining over the tape strips if desired.I used to be able to find these about 10 years ago,but have not seen any for a while.I have it on top another item that I have for sale on this site,a pine cannon ball bed finial. No odors. The first picture is the most accurate color, with some shadowing from the window.
