This unusual “Bear Baiting” jug is thought to have been used by spectators at bear baiting events. Dogs were sicced on chained bears for sport. The spout is in the form of a dog in the grasp of the bear. The head was used as a cup for drinking delicious beverages while enjoying the spectacle. The condition is very good with some small glaze flakes and a repaired break on the rim. Ex. Freeth, Iliffe and Cheetham collections 9” tall

A6609- We are offering a pair of Native American beaded gauntlets. They are in good condition with a small amount of wear and bead loss. About 2”of the lining of the right hand has separated from the leather. The lining is polished pink cotton. I think they date to sometime in the early 20th century.
