Welcome to my Shop at DIG ANTIQUES! I am pleased to offer an array of interesting antiques with design merit. The focus in the shop is on Art Pottery, Textiles, Paintings, Folk Art and unusual smalls. As a collector turned antique dealer, I try to present items that are worthy of my own home...and hopefully, your! My trade policies include the following. I will accept payment in the form of checks (much preferred), credit cards, money orders and PayPal, I will consider a Venmo payment. I will accept layaway plans that are reasonable. I ship all antiques via US Mail with no international sales. Please email me in advance if planning to seek a return/credit for a purchase. I will accept returns with the items returned being in the same condition as received, within 3 day (72 ours) and the buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. If you are an Ohio resident I will charge Ohio Sales tax at 5.75%. If you are a vendor, your Vendor Resale Number is required. Pressed Steel Toy TRolley

Dating to 1910, this antique Dayton Schieble Pressed Steel Hill Climber Trolley is a vintage piece that will capture the wonder of the golden era of toy making. This model shows appropriate wear although the paint is in excellent condition with a minimum of rust. The working parts are missing. All wheels are present. This makes a great wall piece when hung on the wall for color and fun!

Pair of Merganser Decoys by Bob Biddle

Bob Biddle (1937-2025) was born in Northeast Maryland in 1937. He later grew up on the Elk River. Although educated as an aelectrical engineer, he enjoyed swimming, crabby and hunting. He began to make decoys as a young teen and later in life he retired to focus on studio workshops and exhibiting decoys at shows on the East Coast. Recognized by the Harve de Grace Museum, he was a skilled craftsman of Windsor chairs. This pair is a beautiful addition to one's decoy collection. Sold as a pair only.

Lancaster, PA Quilt

A fine cotton quilt in the typical color palette of southeastern Penna in tones of pink, yellow against a sky blue field. This quilt dates from the 1930-40's and is in excellent condition. Measurements: 76 inches square.

Snowflake Applique Quilt

Beautiful soft grey and white SNOWFLAKE QUILT of cotton. This is a kit quilt that was popular in the 1960's. This example is quite large and would easily fit a queen size bed. Condition is excellent with only 1-2 minor small stains that are barely noticed.

Pleasing seascape on Board by Evelyn Ivy, listed Massachusetts artist. The painting is of Maine seashore. Ivy is a listed artist in Who's Who and worked in the Boston, MA area. Size: 8 x 10 in original frame.

Pair of Watercolors

Pair of Fruit and Vegetable watercolors by Linda Lucas, teacher and artist working in Chautauqua, NY and in Braden, Florida. She is well known for her flora, botanical and tropical scenic paintings. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Fine Art, Linda's work can be found in galleries in Orchard Park and Bemus Point, NY. Linda also conducts watercolor classes at the Chautauqua Institute. This pair is well framed in anodized gold metal frames. Finished size is 16 inches by 18 inches. Age: 1980-90. Sold only as a pair.

Geranium Painting

Artist Norbert Greka (1930-2020) Born in Cleveland and raised in Alpena, Michigan, Grela was a professional server in the fine dining industry of Detroit. He is a graduate of the Traphagen School of Fashion in NYC and also studied in Paris. The Traphagen School of Design held classes from 1923 to 1991, and the focus was the American Design Movement. Graduates from the school include Geoffrey Beene, James Galanos, Anne Klein and Mary McFadden. Greka retired in 1993 and moved to Pelican Bay, Florida. After his death, his artwork was auctioned by the Estero Historical Society.

Red and Green Tulip Quilt

This quilt dates from the second or third quarter of the 19th century. The red cherries are highlighted with Trapunto work. The border is strong and serves to frame the design. In some places, there is wear and the fabric has flattened but the overall pattern is delightful. There is evidence of wear on the binding, but the clarity of design makes this quilt worthwhile. Size 78" Square. Found in western New York State. Freshly laundered.

Weller EOCEAN Vase

Weller Pottery of Zanesville, OH issued a line of pottery known as "Eocean" circa 1906. This piece measures 11 inches tall and is an excellent example of the pattern. There is an L-shaped scratch on the reverse.

Mr. Peanut Wood Doll

The Mr. Peanut advertising doll was made by the Schoenhut Toy Company for the Planter's Nut and Chocolate Company. The organization was formed in Wilkes-barre. PA in 1906. The trademark, MR. PEANUT, was adopted for promotion in 1916. The Planter's Nut Company merged with Nabisco in 2004. Mt. Peanut was honored and earned a start on the Madison Avenue WALK OF FAME.

Jiminy Cricket Wood Doll

With the popularity of Disney's American animated classic film, PINOCCHIO, released in 1940, the Ideal Toy Company created an articulated Jiminy Cricket doll, complete with tall hat and umbrella. The Blue Fairy appoints Jiminy to guide the wooden puppet on his journey to becoming a real boy. He is known for singing "When You Wish Upon a Star". This wee cricket measures 7.5" tall and is able to free-stand if positioned right, A doll stand will help to support him. Found in Penna, this quilt features a floral vase design. Perfect for a twin bed, the quilt measures 64" x 78". Age: 1930-1940 There is an early repair in the center of the quilt that is so well done one does not notice the repair. Clean, freshly laundered, and no stains. All cotton.

Blue/White Quilt

With the pattern "Carpenter's Square", this all cotton quilt is a geometric charmer! Made of early indigo blue on white, the quilt is thin and in excellent condition with no fraying, Several areas on the binding are loose, but there are no tears or stains. Size: 86" x 89" Age: estimated at 1910-1920 based on the indigo fabric. This is a hard-to-find pattern that you will enjoy.
